Support in 2012-2013

In 2012-2013 we provided the below support to bereaved families throughout England & Wales.

 

Donated £5,000 to the Oldham Distress fund for the victims of the Shaw gas blast.

 

Provided Christmas presents to over 100 bereaved children that would not have been able to celebrate Christmas.

 

We also provided the following Financial & Respite Support:

A) Respite: Having suffered the loss of their daughter aged 7 to cancer, we provided this family a holiday inclusive of spending money.

B) Financial: Having suffered the loss of their daughter aged 8, to multiple cardiac conditions, we provided an Asda Supermarket gift card to help the family with the purchase of groceries.

C) Respite: Having suffered the loss of their daughter aged 15, we provided a family holiday inclusive of spending money.

D) Financial: This family were struggling to pay for a headstone for their 8 year old daughter they sadly lost to cancer. We provided financial support with the cost of the headstone.

E) Financial: Sadly this family lost their 4 year old daughter to complex health needs. We provided support in payment of outstanding utility bills.

F) Respite: This family lost their 10 year old son to cancer. The family have been active fundraisers and throughout their sons illness and we felt they deserved a breaks following their son’s death. We sent them away for a Spa weekend.

G) Financial & Respite: This family sadly lost their 10 year old son to cancer and as a result this was causing additional stress to all the family. We provided financial support with outstanding utility bills and provided respite to the children by paying for them to attend their respective school trips.

H) Respite: We provided payment for a school trip for this young girl as she had been carer to her mum for a number of years. The family could not afford the trip and school felt she deserved the break. The trip was a skiing trip to Italy with school.

I) Financial: This young man lost his mum who was a single parent. Unfortunately Kirk had an overdue bill for his mum’s headstone that was causing him additional stress. We paid off the outstanding amount.

J) Financial: This family sadly lost their 15 year old son due to a number of illnesses that he has suffered since birth. Unfortunately the family were unable to afford a headstone for their son. We purchased the headstone on behalf of the family.

K) Respite: We paid for a Princess Impersonator to attend a terminally ill child to provide her some respite.

L) Respite: This family sadly lost mum of 3 children who were now living with sister in law. Sister in law had a pre-paid holiday planned and now wanted to take the 3 additional children but could not afford it. We paid for the 3 children to attend the holiday with their remaining family.

M) Financial: This family sadly lost their parents that resulted in young 2 children living with grandma. Grandma’s fridge and cooker broke and she could not afford the repair of these.

We provided Grandma with brand new fridge, cooker and washing machine.

N) Financial: Sadly this family lost the mother of 3 young children. Dad now has sole guardianship of the children, but was struggling due to their ages with general groceries. We provided the family with an Asda Gift card to help him buy essentials.

O)Financial: This family lost their mother, leaving behind 3 children that her husband cares for. The family’s cooker had broken and dad could not afford the repair. Gas & Electric was also causing additional stress. We provided a new cooker for the family, an Asda gift card and a month’s gas & electric.

P) Respite: Sadly this family lost their mum to Leukaemia aged just 34 years. The family that includes 2 children, needed a much deserved holiday. We sent the family away with spending money.

Q) Respite: We provided payment for a school trip for this young girl as she had been carer to her mum for a number of years. The family could not afford the trip and school felt she deserved the break. The trip was a skiing trip to Italy with school.

R)Financial: Sadly this family lost the mother of 3 young children. Dad now has sole guardianship of the children, but was struggling due to their ages with general groceries. We provided the family with an Asda Gift card to help him buy essentials.

S) Financial: This family of 6 children and mum, sadly lost dad to an epileptic fit. Unfortunately mum has been diagnosed with cancer recently. The family were struggling financially and new school uniforms were causing mum concern. We provided all the children with new uniforms as well as a Asda gift card for her to use to buy general groceries and household goods.

T) Respite: This young family lost their dad, leaving behind a young daughter. Holly did not want to stay away from home but was in need of a break. We provided her with a Trafford Centre gift card where she could attend crazy golf and the cinema whenever she was ready to do so.

U)Respite: Having suffered the loss of dad, this family were in need of a holiday. Mum wanted to take young daughter away to provide her some special memories. We provided a holiday to the family to Majorca, all expenses paid.

V) Financial: This family sadly lost their 2 year old daughter. The family are struggling financially with outstanding utility bills, these arrears are causing additional stress.
We paid of the total arrears amount of gas, water and electric.

W) Respite: Sadly this family lost their daughter to leukaemia, leaving behind two small siblings. The family had a holiday booked prior to the loss of their daughter/sister and were unable to attend. We provided a holiday to them inclusive of spending money.

X) Respite: This family sadly lost their 23 month old daughter to tragic circumstances. They have two further children and wanted to get away to spend some quality time together, however they could not afford too.
We sent the family away to S’algar and paid for the whole trip.

Y) Respite: This family sadly lost their daughter and are finding it difficult with their further 5 children. They wanted to spend some quality time together but could not afford to do so.
We provided the family with a holiday inclusive of spending money and meals.

Z) Financial: The circumstances of this family are quite tragic, the family had to stay in Ronald McDonald house for a number of months. We provided support by way of supermarket gift cards whilst they were staying at the premises and paid the rent on their property whilst they were not living there.

AA) Financial: This family of 4 children and dad, is a sad one, losing mum suddenly. We provided the family with a supermarket gift card to help them buy house whole essentials.
