1 MILLION MINUTES

ITV’s Good Morning Britain award-winning campaign 1 Million Minutes recruits Once Upon a Smile.

We are proud to become a charity partner.

44,000 children are bereaved of a parent or sibling annually in the UK, that’s 1 child in every classroom. Children who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling are more than 60% likely than their non-bereaved peers to be excluded from school. Bereaved young people report feelings of isolation and feeling different from their peers.

This year’s campaign launches on Tuesday 1st December and with Good Morning Britain, we’re asking you to pledge 30 or 60 minutes to run or walk our SMILE MILE and raise awareness of isolation in bereavement.

Good Morning Britain’s ‘1 Million Minutes’ campaign to end loneliness will be going virtual and viral this December as it marks its fifth anniversary.

Amid lockdown and isolation, 2020 has been a year of missed moments with family, friends and colleagues, and as Covid continues the campaign is asking you to pledge your time to stop loneliness becoming the next pandemic.

So if you would like to play a part in ending loneliness sign up to one our volunteer options below or visit the ‘1 Million Minutes’ our website, ITV.com/GMB
